On December 14, 2023 the Brazilian Central Bank launched a public consultation aiming to receive citizen’s contributions on the preparation of cryptoasset’s regulation in accordance with Law No. 14,478/2022 and Decree No. 11,563/2023, which concern the guidelines to be observed in the norms related to virtual asset services (cryptoassets).
The consultation, according to the Central Bank, aims to develop an appropriate regulatory framework.
Interested parties can contribute until January 31, 2024, through the form available on the Central Bank’s website: www.bcb.gov.br, following the links “Financial Stability”, “Standards”, “Public Consultations” and “Active Consultations”.
Participants can respond to the consultation in a partial or full manner, indicating the topics and questions they wish to raise. Questions about the public consultation should be sent to ativosvirtuais.denor@bcb.gov.br. All contributions will be made available for public consultation on the Central Bank’s website.
