Our partner Helen Naves mediated a panel on Digital Assets during the NYSBA’s International Section Global Conference 2023, which took place in Mexico last week.
The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) is the largest bar association in the United States, with members in all 50 states and more than 100 countries. Its International Section, of which Helen is Senior Officer, brings together a community of lawyers from all over the world who share the goal of promoting the rule of law.
The Global Conference is a unique opportunity for these professionals to share knowledge and expand their practices in the field of international law.
The panel mediated by Helen addressed the current context in which the global market for digital assets is facing significant changes as a result of the application of new laws in various jurisdictions, including Brazil, and new court decisions in the United States involving companies operating in the sector.
The panel included Zygmunt Brett (BLP Legal) from El Salvador, Nahila Cortes (Baker Hostetler) from the United States and Alejandro Linares (ECIJA) from Mexico.
